I've been to Maui twice and still haven't gone up to Haleakala. I figure that way I have an excuse to go back. As if I need one... :)
I hardly write at all there, either. Though I've never gone alone, which would be more conducive to writing. Still, I just get too dang *relaxed* to do much more than make notes in my journal. Maui's popped up in a bajillion poems written on the mainland, though -- so it's fertile ground in retrospect.
