I have a Canon Digital Elph S110; I love this camera to death. It's tiny, sturdy, and has really good optics for a point-and-shoot.
As for framing, a lot of that is trial and error, and knowing the camera's quirks inside and out. At this point, I've been taking self-portraits long enough that I know if I'm holding the camera about *here* and the lens is pointing *this* way, I'm going to get about this framing.
One of my favorite elements of self-portraiture is the element of surprise. I love taking a picture of myself and then looking to see what it really looks like.
"Who's that girl?" I thought when I saw that. "It must be Kris." Your photos are making me think lately. You must be getting better. Watching you play the DDR game you were someone else again.

You mention framing in one of your captions, how do you frame on a self-portrait? Just trial and error?
