aithneWhich I'll post because it's not a spoiler, really, and they probably won't mean much until we get closer in my writing to where Storm and I are in the story.
Imryne is sitting, looking through a pile of drawings done by Ulitree, an adopted member of House Melrae. The girl admitted, after she was asked, that she had been drawing pictures from visions given to her by Ryld.
A single shaft of sunlight that looks like it is coming from above touches down in the market square. Drow point up, staring at it.
A house, bigger than any Imryne has ever seen, all columns, spirals, running several levels up and down. It's massive and beautiful. The walls around have Ellistraee carvings in them. It is built on the ruins of House Xalyth.
Three stones stacked on top of each other. Melted together, the one on the top is the stone from the staff. The other two, Imryne assumes, are the stones of Lloth and Corellian.
Ellistraee clerics dancing in the underdark, it's raining on them. It looks like an underground star dance ceremony. Faces are blank.
A woman reading books, the book of Lloth and Ellistraee, her house symbol visible on her arm. House Devir.
A crystal from the melted stone picture above, the one in the center of the pile of three stones, embedded into the left arm of a drow woman.
A male drow and female making love. The male is from house Melrae and looks like Quave, the male is top but the hair and musculature give it away. The house symbol is painted on the arm. The woman is young, pretty and from House Despana.
A wheelchair, covered in dust.
Imryne sets the drawings aside, staring into nothingness. Tears are slowly running down her cheeks.
