2008 Portrait Sessions--call for models!

I've gotten my gumption back, I think, and I'd like to do one portrait session a month for the rest of 2008.  I'm going to do this a little differently than in the past, as I'm starting to get to the point that I think I'd like to start selling prints.  (And I would definitely like to make this year's yearbook available to the general public.)

I'd like to shoot a wide variety of people, and I'd love to do some "location" shots as well as studio work.  For these sessions, I'll need a model release (which basically says that you give permission for your image to be sold and used for various purposes; I'm not planning on selling my images for stock, so you're mostly agreeing to let me sell prints).  In return, you'll get sent a CD with pictures, five 5x7 prints, and one 11x13 or 16x20 print.  (16x20s can be expensive to frame, which is why I offer the 11x13 as an alternative.)  You can either trust me to pick out the best images for prints, or we can talk about which ones you want.

Image processing is going to take me longer than it has in the past, because my workflow has changed, so I'll be sending you CDs and prints in the mail.

This is local to Seattle, though I'm probably going to be traveling to Vancouver sometime this summer, as well as to somewhere in the San Juans.  What sorts of portraits (clothed, costumed, nude, etc) is completely open except for the Norwescon sessions.  (No nudes at Norwescon, since I'm not going to have a studio space.)

Session dates I have open currently (times are negotiable generally, though late afternoon works best for outside stuff):

Sunday, March 16th
Friday and Saturday, March 21st and 22nd (at Norwescon): This is a special thing I'm doing at Norwescon this year; if I have enough interest, I'll set up a session or two in one of the public spaces.  You have to be at Norwescon, though, and this will be during the day because I am not schlepping my lights to the hotel.  :)  I can do multiple sessions (and multiple people) these days, so feel free to sign up!  ursuscelticus

I've been thinking that I needed to contact you about the follow-up to the session we did last year, and huzzah! Here you are posting about it! :)

May 10th would be great - it's close to the one-year anniversary of my surgery (May 16th). I definitely want to do some nudes - will be interesting to see how the landscape of my body has changed. June 14th would be my alternate pick. I'd also be willing to be the alternate for April 13th.

generally, it's singned by the parent is my understanding. When a friend of mine did some photography of her when she was 4 that's how we handled it.

I have long admired your photography and I would love to model sometime. I am not sure about dates right now because I am away from home at a family reunion, but I wanted to throw my hat in the ring. My focus in the next month or so needs to be getting our house ready to put on the market, but hopefully after that, things will relax.)

I will be at Norwescon (my first time ever) so I could try to come by and say hi and introduce myself (how would I find you?). I think I'd like to pick a different date than that though because I am happy to do nude modeling. I've done it before, both for life drawing and photography.

What are you expecially interested in taking pictures of? just as we are? in costumes? nudes? more than one subject?
