I am a sucker for alternate histories, and I am a sucker for a good bad guy.  Put those two together in an alternate-universe DLC for Dragon Age, and I am a happy, happy girl.

In short: I liked it!

In long...

Sometimes, it's just fun to go on a good rampage.  I love the fact that the DLC allows us to get a bit of revenge on all of the characters who may have annoyed us during Origins.  Killing Goldanna was satisfying.  I am amused by Wade and Herren's fate (of all the named characters, the gay couple is the only one who escape, but they get a serious recasting of What's Going On There).

Playing a shriek is super, super fun.  They move *fast*, they have a large number of special attacks, and it's very cool to be in control of a critter that was the bane of my freaking existence in the regular storyline.

As someone who is a big fan of the "Wynne's son is Cullen, and Greagoir is his father" theory, I was very amused to see the three of them together at the gates of the alienage.  Awww, they're a happy little family...who I proceeded to slaughter.

The Sten fight was very nearly a total party kill.  Which was as it should have been.  Go you, my big stoic friend!

The only thing I felt really bad about doing was killing Dog.  However, I totally cheered about the fact that they named him Barkspawn.  And Killing Alistair should have felt bad, but really, dude dumped my mage when she made him king.  Giving him an ogre to the face made up for the fact that I wasn't allowed to be indignant about it in-game.

Overall fun and well worth my $5.  I'll play through it one more time, at least.
