I just woke up....

...with a brainstorm.

Heather! Want to go see Pirates of the Caribbean again today? It's playing at the Crest (in Shoreline) at 1:50, 4:50, and 8.

You want your Johnny Depp fix. C'mon, you know you want it. *grins* We could probably hit the 1:50 show, even, depending on how much time we spend painting painting.

PIE.

I forgot to post yesterday that my pie crust, for the first time in my *life* came out exactly as I wanted it to.

Yummy and buttery and flaky, and it didn't even stick to the pie plate. Overall, it was a pretty decent pair of pumpkin pies.

Pie crust is one of the new baking things I have had difficulty making come out exactly right. I can get bread to do what I want, but crust has always given me issues.

(And all the food from yesterday was wonderful. Thank you, zondrrrah and tieyah for hosting/cooking!)

I need to make a few more pies to make sure that I have the technique down, obviously. Hm. Who could I inflict PIE on? Maybe when gaming starts up again.

(Does anyone in the world other than me like custard pie?)

We've had a Day Out!

simonelo and I went painting painting, and then to U Village, and then to Northgate for a little bit, and then we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean at the Crest (where every other person looked like someone I ought to know--it was so weird).

And we went to Target and now we're al my house.

I have had a good time. it has been an Expoitation! and I have a new purse.
