Thanksgiving and vroominess
Nov. 26th, 2004 01:36 pmThanksgiving at
zondrrrah and
tieyah's house was wonderful. Most of my favorite people, all in one place! Joy! (also, yummy food. the curstard pie I tried even worked out. Hooray for the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook, purveyor of all that is good in 60's cooking.)
And this morning, I practiced driving a manual transmission, namely Bryan's car. I got not half bad at starting from stops, and okay at hill starts. And then I drove on the actual street. (meep!)
mholmesiv is marveous and patient and only really winced at something I did once. I was very nervous, but it worked out all right.
note to self: wear thinner shoes next time. Hiking boots are not nearly sensitive enough.
(have I mentioned lately that I have wonderful partners? I so do. I love them, muchly.)
