Back from the dentist, who thinks my teeth are wonderful. It's very very quiet at work, as today's the company meeting. Nobody here but us contractors.
My home office is looking better and better. I have some things to get rid of still, but I think a quick run to Goodwill will get rid of most of it, and a run up to a Seattle Public Library will get rid of the books I have still remaining. I feel like I'm almost ready for my three months off. In another week, I will be physically and mentally organized, lists of projects in hand, all ready to go. And then I will wait another two weeks to actually be off work.
My birthday is next Monday, and I'm both looking forward to it and kind of dreading it, as I have a doctor's appointment that day that I have to go in fasting for. The appointment is at 10:20 AM. This is going to make my blood sugar about thirteen different kinds of unhappy, as it's unlikely I'll get to eat much before noon. However, the *rest* of the day, I have off. Not only that, because it's my birthday, I get to have treats I don't normally get. Like sushi. And bubble tea. And cake! I have no idea what I'll be doing, but I have this feeling it may involve bumming around Capitol Hill for a bit. We'll see.
I'm done with the Mongol stuff for the moment; I have an extra bit, but it's not nearly enough for a story (though in it there are a number of amusing character fillips, like the fact that one of the characters has a fetish for women in disguise, and the utterly horrified reaction that the main character has to tailing people whose lives consist of doing absolutely nothing useful). So, on to alternately editing (yes, still editing) and making a list of character names for the Victoria book, which I'm always thinking I need to come up with at least a working title for. Exile? Nah, been used. Salal, but what does that have to do with the story? (Not a whole heck of a lot at the moment.)
Bah. I should run today's numbers and make some more lists.
