I have a pretty skirt on. It's one of this weekend's purchases, one of the last pieces I needed for a work wardrobe that makes me happy--a charcoal skirt with a bit of shape to it. (That picture doesn't do it justice, honestly.) It's a little long on me, but otherwise it's perfect.

I also bought an awesome top that's black netting over the most eye-popping paisley you've ever seen. The netting turns the paisley into a bit of a flirt, tones it down enormously. I can't wear it until summer comes, but it was on sale.

I did manage to go see the Gaia Consort house concert, and in the bargian saw [livejournal.com profile] s00j, who was wonderful. I loved the "Ravens In the Library" song, and the song about the alligator, and the song about what would have happened if Wendy had joined Captian Hook's crew...well, pretty much all of it.

And Chris pulled a treat out of his hat--the finished version of "The Perils of Poly"! Yay!

Gaming was Sunday, of course, with more murders to solve (we are becoming a regular special task force for the cops; Martin is so demanding to be paid if this continues after the serial killer's caught) and some interesting details about the opponents-du-jour. I'm really liking this game so far, we're managing to keep it light. The recap's going to be fun, if only because it's a very tangled one. The problem with having a largely non-combat campaign is that combat's really easy to recap, and solving mysteries is less so.

I'm working on another Guardian's Road story--I have at least one to catch up, and we're well into the next one (we left off with Theron in deep trouble) so it'll be next week before i'm caught up with that.

And so it goes. It's the beginning of another week. I'm hoping to do a lot of things with it; we'll see how successful I am.

...um.

Some coffee stands get steamier

In a short, sheer, baby-doll negligee and coordinated pink panties, Candice Law is dressed to work at a drive-through espresso stand in Tukwila, and she is working it.

Customers pull their trucks up to the window, where Law greets each with an affectionate nickname, blows kisses, and vamps about as she steams milk for a mocha. "You want whipped cream?" she asks, a sly smile playing on her pierced lip.

The next customer rolls up, and Law throws a long leg onto the window sill, like an indie-rock ballerina at the barre.

"Do you like my leg warmers?" she asks. "Aren't they hot?"

Hot is not the half of it. To stand apart from the hordes of drive-through espresso stands that clutter the Northwest's roadsides, commuter coffee stops such as Tukwila's Cowgirls Espresso are adding bodacious baristas, flirty service and ever more-revealing outfits to the menu.

It was inevitable, of course. But only here.
