There is a little while after the fog lifts and the sun begins to shine through it after everything has been thoroughly wetted down and before it has dried off. When that happens, quite a bit of detail becomes visible that you see at very few other times.

I woke up to thick, thick fog this morning, our fall and spring visitor. Boone and I went for a run, and then after I came back and showered and dressed the sun was beginning to shine through the fog, and I went to grab my camera.
