Made a Yule present for my loves today. I hope they like it. *beam* It's not quite finished yet, but almost; I have a few finishing touches to do, but it will definitely be all done by the time they get back. (Four days! Yaaaay!)

Other than that, it's been a quiet Christmas Day; this isn't my holiday, but I appreciate the days off of work. I called my parents and grandparents this morning, and will probably talk to my mom again tonight; it sounds like they liked the movies I sent them. (Over The Hedge was evidently an excellent choice!) My mom sent me socks, a barrette, and "car coasters" which, sad as it is, will probably come in handy. I also got lovely presents from Santa Jen last night, including a huge book of portraiture inspiration and a very pretty necklace.

And I yet again have reasons to be thankful for the friends who make food for me so I don't have to worry about cooking, because there's nothing I wanted to do less today than to cook, and there was real food in the fridge for me to eat, including lentils and mashed sweet potatoes/squash/garlic. And breakfast was pumpkin bread, spice cake, and clementines. Thank you, Storm and Jen. :)
