aithne: (boone nine months)
We had agility class last night, and both of the dogs enjoyed themselves. (Pip thinks there is Too Much Talking; Boone is all Hermione about wanting to be picked as a demo dog so he can say hi to the trainer, who he adores.) They adore class, expecially Pip who loves having a job to do. I Should teach them to retrieve stuff.

Yesterday, we attempted to go to the zoo but were thwarted by ythe fact that it's the first nice weekday in ages, and every mom with a membership to the zoo and the day off in Seattle showed up with stroller in tow. The crowds at the gate were intimidating, and we decided to bag it and go shopping. Came home and I wrote with [livejournal.com profile] zondrrrah for a while; we're working on the first part of a series about the Middle East. (Attempting to write both this and Imryne at the same time is breaking my brain. Islam is not an easy religion for me to come to terms with on a good day, and when i'm writing about two overlapping matriarchal religions right alongside a religion that is not so much, it sometimes doesn't go so well. The poor protagonist of the Persian book is suffering for it, i'm afraid. I'm not sure I've ever written a character who was more messed up from the beginning. Yes, I'm including Imryne, who is mentally ill.)

Today was dog walkies, Wii Fit, lunch, and now writing. And coffee, because I didn't get any this morning. I am wearing a tank top and shorts because it is abruptly SPRING outside, which is wonderful. This afternoon holds writing and probably some going outside and taking pictures. Whee!
