I'm not exactly a critial movie viewer,and I know it. If it's pretty, it usually suffices. Costume dramas are, without exception, pretty. (Vanity Fair is exceptionally pretty, though.)
I actually like watching movies by myself, and I sort of miss doing so, now that I'm dating three people. (which means that I rarely watch movies by myself.) It's a special treat to go to the movies alone. But I confess i'm odd. :)
