plans and plots

This involves house stuff, so i'm going to cut it so I don't bore absolutely everyone.
I think, once Derek moves out, I am indeed going to swap my bedroom and the office. Even if the bed doesn't fit in the niche, it'll definitely fit lengthwise against the west wall.
I'm going to get rid of the futon upstairs, and the endtable that's serving as one of my nightstands. (I'm thinking about getting rid of the other endtable and the coffee table, too, but that step's a bit more drastic.) I will need to acquire another Billy bookcase and, most importantly, *doors* for said bookcase, so i can stash all of my art and photography supplies without having to look at them all the time. I will also need to acquire curtains, preferably matching and tab-top. The one curtain I have serves its purpose (to shade my computer from the afternoon sun) but it's not entirely adequate for the window. There *are* blinds, but they sort of suck.
Clothes will still be kept in my current bedroom's closet.
The only real problem with this is electricity. I think I'm going to try to schedule the electrical work that needs done on my house for February or March, which means I need to talk to my neighbors and ask them if they have an entrance to the attic crawlspace in their house (and if I can borrow it for the electrical work). I'll have both outlets in the bedroom grounded, and I'm stll going to have them put an outlet in the current office's closet as well as ground everything in there (and in the kitchen, too).
Until then, i can run a heavy-duty extension cord from one room to the other, I think.
Oh, yes, I also think i'm going to buy another tall bookcase and thus replace both of the low bookcases with tall ones. And in a couple of months, I'll buy a backdrop holder and a few backdrops to go with it--white and black paper, at least.
And, yes, I bought lights today. Woot!
