There's a paper box lid on the floor, and she has been in it for the last two hours, and shows no inclination to leave it.

So I took a picture of her.

cute :) I wonder if she was kept in a box as a kitten.

I sent you an email, but you wont' get it til you get home... oh, you won't get this either will you? Oh well. At any rate, I can't get to your web site which I was hoping to loot for kitty pics.

One of our cats does that. If there's an empty box lid, box or bag, he has to get inside it. I had a black cat with my ex, and if anybody came over and tossed their black leather jacket on the floor, she had to go sit on it (the cat, not my ex).

A shallow, wide box arrived in the mail last week. I can't remember what it contained originally, but since then, it has contained every one of our cats at one point or another.

They don't really lie down and relax either; they just SIT in it looking expectant about something.

And I think Izzy may have just fallen off the refrigerator. Again.

Perhaps the boxes remind them of the spaceships that brought them here in the first place? :)

It's funny you should say that, and by "funny", I mean "somewhat disturbing", since we often think that Izzy is actually an alien...she has an Oriental body type, so she's a skinny thing with huge eyes and huge ears, and the first time I ever visited Boston, she spent the entire four days or so staring at me. I don't think she blinked.

The next time I visited, I went to sleep with her on the bookcase staring at me.

I woke up to find her on the night table staring at me.

I woke up again to find her on my feet staring at me.

I woke up one last time to find her on my chest staring at me.

I stopped sleeping on my back after that.

(She's somewhat more normal now, but really.)

Hee!

She is an alien, from the planet Felina, sent to study this strange place called Earth.

Also, to get tuna. :)

When I was 9 or so, our district did a Young Authors program for elementary school students. My book was set on the planet Felina, populated with my cat and my neighbor's cats. I'm beginning to see now how it was all a plot, even then. Hmm.
