She has a lot of really solid advice for writers, and particularly when it comes to avoiding cliche fantasy tropes and making sure your world makes sense.

I don't game or write fantasy (although I write other things--mostly graduate school papers at the moment) but I am all for avoiding cliche tropes!

I saw your profile on okcupid and followed the lj link. I notice we have Eva and Ivo in common as acquaintances and I wonder if I may have met you at Metaphorest parties? I am "cruciblegirl" on okcupid.
