bad news for those who like to feed the birds

Department of Fish and Wildlife recommends people put away their bird feeders for the rest of the summer.

Summary: Local birds are dying of salmonella infections, and to stem the problem, the DFW is trying to get people to take down their bird feeders.

Thanks. We just filled ours, so I'll empty it and bring it in. We haven't noticed many birds lately anyway.
