I came screaming into the world 29 years and 14 minutes ago.

Now I'm going to go run a couple of miles.

Went clothes shopping today.

1. Tried on some Isaac Mitzhrai (sp?) clothes at Target on a lark. Found a size 16 black dress that looks amazing on me. Size 16! I am a *solid* 16! *beamalicious* I now have two nice dresses I can wear this winter.

Also, two low-cut shirts were obtained. I bought two because, man, for $10 I'll *take* it. They, too, look amazing on me.

([livejournal.com profile] simonelo, did you buy that skirt? I want to try it on next time I come over!)

I almost bought a pair of jeans, but decided that I liked the dress more.

2. I am officially nearly too small for Lane Bryant. The 14-16 shirts *hung* on me. And not attractively, either. I did pick up a pair of size 14 flare jeans that do wonderful things for my ass. Mmmm. Tight jeans. also picked up a skirt that will work for mildly dressy ocasions this winter. (long, grey, elastic waist, and I'll be able to take it in when need be, I think.) Also, bought more undies, since I'm throwing out an entire grocery bag full of undies I'm too small for now.

3. The Limited was having a sale. I escaped with a silk/cashmere sweater for $20. Also tried on the most adorable little skirt that I desperately wanted to take home with me, but decided that it was just a tidge too tight. (sitting down all day in it would have been Not Good.) Also, a tidge too expensive, as it wasn't on sale. But it was a 14, and it fit! Woo!

4. Went into Victoria's Secret for the first time in years. Bought an Angel stretch demi bra which fits *perfectly*. I can shop at Vicky's now! Woo! Also, this bra will look good under the sweater I bought today. I'll be really happy when I can get back into a 36 again, because my boobs are actually 36Cs on, currently, a 38 ribcage.

All in all, a warm and fuzzy shopping trip. Shopping in "regular" stores rocks.

(also, I am vain, oh so vain. But you people probably already knew this.)

Traffic in the U District is nuts today, as the residence halls evidently open today. Avoid the area, if you can.

My plans for the rest of the day include cleaning the house and going to the bookstore to spend my parents' birthday present to me (Barnes and Noble gift card). I know, my life is so exciting. Heh.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Here are tasks you should studiously
avoid in the coming week: painting the bathroom, fixing the
smoke alarm, changing the burned-out light in the hallway,
getting an air freshener for the car, and buying new batteries
for the TV remote control. According to my analysis of the
astrological omens, you should instead seek out the following
kinds of experiences: Delight in your sudden access to spiritual
resources that have been closed to you before; commune with
beauty that does not depend on artifice; and capitalize on your
new ability to change something about your life that you thought
would remain stuck forever.

Okay, yes, i'm getting all the practical stuff out of the way now. *hee*

grmph.
