a short break for something that isn't fiction

I go to the work kitchen and come back, arms laden with liquid: peppermint tea, a liter bottle of water. I'm finishing something up and getting ready to take a field trip over to the store once i'm done drinking the gathered beverages. I'm already halfway through the liter of water, actually, and the tea will soon be cool enough for me to drink.

I'm almost done with the fifth Mouse story, which starts out much sadder than I'd like. It ends happily, but the beginning is tough for our little Mouse. The world Mouse lives in is the world of tides; everything changes on a regular basis, but in the end nothing changes at all.

I had people I know wandering in and out of my dreams last night. It was strange, because mostly they acted completely normally until they'd do one thing that was completely out of character for them.

It's Friday and I have a lovely weekend planned, though I need to think of something to bring for the potluck Sunday night. Perhaps something decadent? *ponders* I found the recipe for the chocolate-cherry crumb bars, and I'll be posting it sometime soon. (I'll probably be making them for gaming when it reconvenes in a couple of weeks. Actually, it's the weekend after this, so it's only a week. good to know!) And with any luck at all, I might get 1. that Mouse story done and 2. Chapter 10 pretty close to finished. The problem is that right at the moment, I'm not certian exactly what happens in this chapter, I only know that it's going to cover a month. We'll see.

I am craving touch. Fortunately for me, i'll be seeing 3smallishmagi tonight and zaratyst and mholmesiv tomorrow night, so that need should be pretty much covered. Life's good.
