Happy birthday, kittens!
Apr. 20th, 2011 12:48 pmThis is Kel, aka The Management:

I am her favorite human, because I am the human with THE BRUSH. The brush is important. She requires brushing at least once a day, preferably three times a day. When she was younger and still getting used to all her fur, I made a habit of brushing her all over once a day so she wouldn’t get mats. Now that she’s bigger and lots better at taking care of her floof, she still expects the brushing. At 9PM every night, she comes and gets me and announces that it is Time with very loud meows. The brushing takes place in the bathroom, and first I brush her back and one side, and then her tummy, and then her other side, and then her chest while she purrs riotously and grabs the brush with glee.
She is still more fur than body, and she is soft and so, so plush. I occasionally wake up in the morning to her sniffing my face. She isn’t necessarily a cuddler yet (though she has her moments) but she’ll happily sit on my desk and supervise me.
This is Zed:

Zed loves everyone. Zed especially loves Laura; he spends all day following her around, getting underfoot, etc. He loves the dogs, and bowls them over on a regular basis. When he wants a lap that is already occupied, he cheerfully drapes himself on top of whichever dog is currently enjoying said lap. When you pick him up, he wants to be held upside down like a baby. When you leave, he sits by the door and honks piteously.
He is so, so cute, pretty much all the time. Except when he’s trying to trip us. Heh.
Anyway, the kittens are a year old today. Happy birthday, kittens!
