cheesecake is in the oven doing the sitting thing.

sinfully rich fresh peach sauce is in the fridge chilling.

life is good.

I have only a half-day at work tomorrow, so I'm going to come home, work out, and clean the house, and then go to the party. I think this will work, anyway. I hope.

anyway, the peach sauce didn't quite work like I thought it would, but it's really tasty anyway. It could use a little bit of peach brandy to add some interest, but I didn't feel like buying any tonight, and I think it'll work well without it.

The cheesecake persists in smelling wonderful. This is basically my chance to see if the recipe works as well the second time around.

I cleaned the kitchen after I cooked; I occasionally long for a dishwasher, and this was oneof those nights. But it's done and almost all the dishes are clean, clean, clean.

I feel accomplished. and tired. mostly tired.

I plan on it! It's basically a Cooking Light recipe fattened back up, as I beleive that if you're going to eat dessert, it should be really bad for you. heh.

OH! Actually, if you could email me your address, I have a book of yours that i've been meaning to return for absolute *ages* now. like, seven years. I believe it's a copy of "The Magic Goes Away".

Every time I see the book, i say to myself, "I need to send this back to Lynda since i accidentally moved away from Iowa with it." Heh.

Wow, I'd forgotten all about the book -- thank you! I'm emailing you my starting-August-1 contact info, as I'd just as soon not have you mail it here and it be one more book for me have to move, but if you or anyone else from your area will be at ICON I could just get it then. I'm certainly not in a hurry. *grin*
