...but I cannot seem to set up a regular Windows network so I can share out folders on these two machines.
So I am FTPing 4GB of files to creative, and then ftping them down to the new machine. Which is taking some time, even though they *are* on the same network. There's only so much Ethernet can do, really. (And as for why I don't just pop the data drive into my new computer...I'd like to get my files over first, before doing something that may require me to reformat my hard disk. Heh.)
It's amazing how much stuff needs to be set up, how much work it is to get it how I like it.
(But my new wireless mouse works, now. It's very cool.)

bleh, sharing out folders is so... barbaric. :)
