The thing about remodeling is that the work doesn't stop once you've settled back in. There are always more things to do, because once you've changed a space around, you have a lovely opportunity to change a whole bunch of stuff at once.

So we have new floors. In addition, I have a new closet organization system, a new dresser, a consolidated library, and a bathroom that desperately needs cleaning. In addition, we have a new place to store animal stuff downstairs and a new entertainment center/thing what holds all of the AV equipment. Not to mention that I had to reinstall the operating system on my new laptop (Windows Update went awry; glad I hadn't installed much of anything on it yet) and there was the usual weekend grocery shopping and preparing for the new week going on. I was absolutely exhausted by the time I hit the hay last night, and there's more yet to do. Pip had her worried ears on until we unearthed the dog toy box. Evidently, she was worried because she couldn't find her stuff.

(There will be pictures of everything sometime this week. I just haven't gotten to processing yet.)

I got some absolutely awesome Halloween decorations that are currently residing in my cubicle at work; this year's Halloween retail theme appears to be "romantic/Victorian gothic" which, hey, I love. I'm probably going to pick up a few more things as they go on sale, but there's nothing like an urn of black flowers and a vase of black silk roses to really cheer up a cubicle.

...what?

Anyway. Moving on.

This week holds getting the remaining house stuff done, getting pictures processed, and hopefully getting back to writing. Settling back into a routine, trying to eat a bit better, the usual.

It was gross out this morning, but abruptly now it's beautiful. Oh, October, you coy thing you.
