solcita and I went to see Great Big Sea last night. Back when we got the tickets, she'd emailed me and asked me if I wanted to go, since she had access to the presale. I agreed with great enthusiasm, since Great Big Sea is the only band I make a point of seeing when they come through. People, I hate rock shows. But I love Great Big Sea shows.

So she jumped into the presale and bought tickets right when it opened...

And ended up with a pair of tickets in the pit. First row.

You guys, we were three feet from Alan Doyle for two hours.

That much combined charisma on one stage possibly ought to be illegal. As always, they do a fabulous show, though the audience was a bit lower-energy than the last time we went to a show. (Only one stage climber!)

Oh, I know! I saw them for the first time last month. There were only about 200 people in the whole audience. You could practically just walk right up to the stage. And they did an awesome show. And have I mentioned I love Murray?
